Hugh Young, head of equities at Aberdeen Asset Managers and manager of the Aberdeen Asia Pacific and Aberdeen Asia Pacific & Japan funds, cautions investors not to overestimate the stock market returns to be gained from emerging economies in the short term.
Veteran Asia expert Young discusses why he has recently moved the portfolios towards a more defensive stance, and suggests that the Chinese equity market had all the elements of a bubble prior to its recent correction.
